Inspired by the Chinese lunisolar calendar, the Cha Moods Seasonal Tea Club is our way of following tea through the year.

We curate a quiet but expressive selection of rare, small-batch teas that feel natural to the season — shaped by harvest cycles, resting periods, and moments when a tea is simply ready to be shared. The focus is on discovery: teas we’re excited about right now, chosen for their timing as much as their quality.

Each seasonal box includes:

2026 Duck Shit Dancong | Oolong | Chaozhou

The first Duck Shit Dancong of the new harvest. This year's exceptional growing season allowed for an unusually high picking standard, resulting in remarkable clarity and fragrance. Finished with a medium roast, it balances honey orchid florals, ripe longan sweetness, and the signature minerality of Phoenix Mountain. A benchmark expression of one of Chaozhou's most celebrated cultivars.

2025 Autumn Daye Yellow Tea | Yellow Tea | Yunnan

Our newest autumn production of this increasingly rare yellow tea. Compared to the spring harvest, the cooler autumn season brings a rounder profile with gentle spice, wildflowers, honey, and cocoa, while the characteristic freshness of yellow tea remains. A fascinating opportunity to compare how the same tea changes with the seasons.

2026 Winter Taitung Red Oolong | Oolong | Taiwan

The newest winter edition from our Taiwanese producer. Winter growth concentrates both sweetness and aroma, creating an exceptionally fragrant tea with notes of honey, ripe fruit, gentle roast, and warm florals. Smooth and layered, it showcases why Red Oolong has become one of our favourite modern Taiwanese styles.

2025 Autumn Yunnan Maofeng | Green Tea | Yunnan

This year we sourced our Maofeng from a new producer using traditional steam fixation rather than the more common pan-firing method. Combined with a different local cultivar, it offers a familiar Maofeng character through a slightly different lens: magnolia blossom, sweet corn, young greens, and a softer, rounder finish. An invitation to explore how processing shapes flavour as much as terroir.
