Yellow Tea 黄茶
Yellow tea is rare — made like green tea, but with an extra step called menhuang, or “sealing yellow”. After the first firing, the still-warm leaves are gently wrapped and left to rest, letting a light oxidation build to soften grassy and vegetal notes and create extra sweetness in the tea. Difficult to find, we source from small producers in Hunan and Yunnan who still handle this process by hand.
