2015 Menghai Wild Big Tree Shu Pu'er Tea Cake 红韵 | Pu'er Tea

Produced in 2015 by Zhuang Jin Li, this shu pu’er uses wild big tree material sourced in Menghai. It reflects his long experience overseeing fermentation and blending at TAETEA, adapted here for a balanced, everyday profile.

This cake sits at the center of his shu range. It was designed to be immediately approachable, offering depth and sweetness without sharp edges or demanding brewing.

The cup is round and mellow, with a soft, jujube-like sweetness and a steady, comforting body. The profile is cohesive rather than layered, making it easy to drink across longer sessions.

We chose this tea because it represents shu pu’er done correctly and without excess. It’s dependable, clean, and well-integrated — the kind of tea we’re comfortable recommending as a daily reference point.
