This Longdan Teapot (龙蛋 (Lóngdàn) , 150ml) is crafted in Yixing clay through half handmade from the zisha museum in Dingshu County. 龙蛋 (Lóngdàn) – 'Dragon Egg', a beloved shape that combines practicality and playfulness.
This teapot is crafted from Lao Zini (老紫泥), an aged and naturally weathered form of Yixing Zini clay. Over time, the clay becomes more stable and dense, improving its ability to retain heat and subtly round out the tea liquor.
Lao Zini’s rich, deep purple tone and refined pore structure make it ideal for brewing full-bodied teas — such as aged oolong, sheng pu’er, and dark teas — where depth, texture, and warmth are essential. With use, Lao Zini develops a beautiful sheen, enhancing both its aesthetic and brewing character.
