One of China’s most iconic spring green teas — but when made well, Huangshan Maofeng feels less famous and more quietly complete.
This year’s batch stood out immediately for its aroma. Sweet bean, orchid, fresh chestnut and mountain flowers rise quickly from the cup, while the texture stays soft and silky rather than sharp. The buds are slender and covered in fine hairs, giving the tea a calm sweetness that lingers long after drinking.
Sourced from the Huangshan mountains from Cha Lin Chang: A Shanghai farming collective based on high altitude in Huangshan, during the early spring harvest of 2026. We selected this batch for its balance: expressive aroma, clean structure, and enough depth to keep brewing session after session.
A tea that rewards slower drinking.
