2025 First Flush Huangshan Maofeng

Late April in Shexian, Huangshan — we packed this 头采 Maofeng when the batch tasted right. These are Huangshan’s traditional heirloom bushes — Quntizhong — finished with baked fixation (烘青), which keeps the green gentle instead of sharp.

In the cup we find a clean fragrance with a hint of wild orchid. The liquor leans light and sweet, smooth in the mouth, with subtle fruity accents and a soft floral echo — refreshing rather than grassy-loud, more orchard air than meadow cut.

Huangshan Maofeng is still an underrated spring green — this Shexian lot is why we keep coming back for it.

Grootte:

Elegant and quietly sweet, this Huangshan Maofeng is picked early spring from the cool, misty slopes of Shexian in the Yellow Mountain region. Thanks to the 烘青 (baked green) process, it develops a soft, soothing aroma—think wildflowers, toasted grain, and hints of chestnut.
Brewed light, the liquor is clear and smooth, with a mellow sweetness and gentle floral linger. A refined green tea that rewards both focused tasting and everyday drinking.
